About the Position

As part of our growth, we are seeking a Customer Service Representative with a strong background in the cycling industry and significant experience in sales and event execution.

This position will be based in Rogers, AR. Domestic travel will be required– primarily to industry expos and dealer events. During peak selling season, this could be 20%-25% of your time.

You will report to the Sales Manager.


What you will do

Allied has been in existence for eight years. In this time, we’ve made tremendous progress as a manufacturer of world-class bicycle frames. We are seeking to further increase brand awareness and rapidly grow revenue in our two primary sales channels: Direct-to-consumer and our dealer network. Our Customer Service team plays a defining role in generating sales opportunities and revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Serve on the frontline for inbound customer communication across phone, live chat, and email. You will be responsible for promptly and effectively managing these inquiries within clearly defined service levels. This will include being available during off-hours and weekends as needed.
  • Assist with customers who visit Allied HQ – providing technical information, sizing assistance, demo rides, sales support, and otherwise creating excitement around the Allied brand.
  • Possess authoritative expertise on Allied technology, and an ability to effectively educate consumers on the benefits of Allied within a highly competitive gravel and road marketplace.
  • Provide potential customers and dealers with information about credit terms, pricing, availability, and other similar subject matter.
  • Meet/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Maintain and manage an active pipeline of sales leads. A vital aspect of this role is to actively send sales quotes and follow up with your leads. Pipeline management is essential.
  • Obtain deposits and manage payment flow for inbound orders.
  • Take a lead role in executing dealer events and trade expos to create awareness of the Allied brand, educate about Allied technology, and create new relationships.
  • Provide excellent after-sales and support, including repair and warranty assistance as needed.


Who we are looking for

Basic qualifications required for your success

  • At least 3 years experience in sales. 
  • Passion for and proficiency at cycling.
  • Deep understanding of bikes and the current state of the bike industry. 
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • A commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Customer-focused, consultative, and value-based approach to selling.
  • Openness to giving and receiving feedback—both positive and constructive.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to assume new and evolving responsibilities as we grow and mature as a company
  • Competency in software applications, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite.
  • Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills and experience in producing both brief and longer written products in a timely fashion for internal and external audiences.
  • Excellent skills at managing data and using this data to make complex business decisions.
