We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in purchasing and supply chain management and a track record for being data-driven and meticulous. In-depth knowledge of bicycle components and frame manufacturing is preferred.
This position will be based in Rogers, AR.
What you will do
You will manage all aspects of forecasting, purchasing, vendor management, and managing inventory levels for raw materials and components. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in managing data for all aspects of SKU builds, pricing, and Bills of Materials for our bikes. You will serve as a critical voice in sales forecasting and inventory management strategy.
Responsibilities
- Establish clear policies and procedures for inventory procurement to ensure that the right products are ordered at the optimal time and price. This includes backorder management, establishing minimum and maximum levels, and/or other order triggers, as well as approval processes for issuing purchase orders (POs).
- Negotiate pricing, create purchase orders (POs), and procure all necessary inventory for business operations. This includes raw materials, components, OE orders, small parts, and shop materials.
- Receive, verify PO accuracy, and put away all incoming inventory.
- Monitor inventory quality and provide recommendations for proactive management of inventory positions as needed.
- Accountable to meet inventory performance goals for turn and gross margin return on investment.
- Operates as an expert user within our ERP system, Netsuite, as this is at the heart of our procurement process and inventory management capabilities.
- Establish and maintain a cycle count process to ensure that our physical inventory is as accurately represented as possible within Netsuite.
- Take ownership of the picking and packing process to ensure the accuracy of our fulfillment and final inventory.
Who we are looking for
Basic qualifications required for your success
- 5 years experience, or recent education in purchasing or supply chain management. Experience with customizable or highly configurable products is a plus.
- Excellent written communication skills and experience in managing vendor relationships and working cross-functionally in a complex organization.
- Excellent skills at managing data and using this data to make complex business decisions.
- Experience in building budgets, sales forecasts, inventory planning, and understanding financial impact to the P&L and Cash Flow planning.
- First-hand experience working with NetSuite or similar ERP system for purchasing or forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of bicycle componentry, vendor knowledge and frame manufacturing preferred.
