ALLIED DUET MTB Bar/Stem

We believe most handlebars are overbuilt to avoid being crushed by the stem since most stem clamp designs have a nasty habit of gouging the handlebar. We realized we could make better products by addressing that crucial interface between the two. DUET is a handlebar and stem system. It’s lighter than the one-piece bar/stem combos spec'd on many XCO World Champion’s bikes. Aside from serious weight savings, you benefit from the adjustability of separate components. 

The 64g DUET stem distributes clamping force much better than any other stems we tested. The more complex shaping of the clamping area and associated force distribution improvement is the magic that led to our uber-lightweight, 135 gram DUET handlebar. The DUET handlebar should only be used with the DUET stem, since we’ve designed the carbon laminate to function safely with the optimized clamping characteristics of the DUET stem. 

• DUET Stem - in house CNC machine with a -6 rise - 64g (50mm) 
• DUET Handlebar - carbon, 780mm width, 5mm rise, 9° backsweep - 135g 
• Handlebar Clamp Torque Spec 5nm (we recommend moving back and forth on the faceplate bolts to take both bolts to to consistent torque).
• Steerer Clamp Torque Spec 5nm
• DUET Handlebar is only compatible with the DUET Stem 
• DUET stem requires fork steerer to be cut level with stem top; we recommend utilizing a 2.5-5mm spacer on top of stem, or the WolfTooth Ultralite Stem Cap w/Integrated spacer.
