How To Apply GRAX

By: Jose Maldonado

Whether you’re riding on tarmac, dirt, wet or dry, muddy or sloppy conditions, GRAX works and will last longer than your legs. In this article we'll show you how to keep your drive train running cleaner and faster for longer with GRAX with three easy steps.

GRAX is formulated to shed dirt better than any product. It shaves watts and keeps your drivetrain running smoothly and quietly for more miles in the most extreme conditions. And improves the longevity of your drivetrain components.

STEP #1. Clean your drivetrain!

Use a hose to rinse off the big stuff. Then apply GRAX OFF liberally to your chain, cassette, chainrings, and derailleur pulleys. Let it sit for a few minutes, then scrub with a nylon brush and rinse everything with clean water.

Repeat as necessary until it shines! Then dry everything thoroughly.

STEP #2. Apply GRAX!

Place the applicator directly on your chain and pedal backward. Generously stream GRAX on the entire length of the chain. You’ll want a wax coating on your entire drivetrain. One thing to note. The consistency of GRAX lube can be affected by cold temperatures. We recommend you store it in mild or home room climates. Also, give the bottle a nice handshake before applying.

Shift through all the gears! Let it sit for an hour or more before riding. Overnight is even better!

STEP #3. Reapplication.

In dry conditions, keep rolling until as long as your drivetrain is quiet. GRAX can be reapplied up to three times before needing another deep clean.

If you’re often riding through lots of mud, rain, and other nasty stuff, you’ll probably want to clean and reapply GRAX after each ride.

So there you have it! Go faster, longer with GRAX.
