Have a Question?

Our favorite adventures cover one-third pavement, one-third gravel and one-third singletrack. We call it the Rule of Three. We designed the ABLE to deliver this exact sort of versatility. Not many other bikes will feel so primed sprinting for a city limits sign, so stable threading through rock-strewn backroads, then just as dialed ripping around dirt berms.

But what we know from experience is that every rider has a primary passion, and that’s where the bulk of their miles will be spent. And it’s for riders with a love affair with cross-country mountain biking that we’re making this limited-edition ABLE in a flat bar configuration with a top-notch combination of SRAM Force AXS and X01 Eagle AXS.

A flat bar gravel bike is especially ideal for riders training for marathon mountain bike races or brutality like the Leadville 100. These sorts of events demand endurance above all. But spending that much training time on a mountain bike – we’re talking 4, 5, or 6-hour days in the saddle – is fraught with complications, the least of which include singletrack crash risk and boredom from looping on the same trails again and again.

The benefit of a flat bar gravel bike is the ability to emulate a mountain bike control inputs and body position – but to get access the relative convenience, freedom and abundance of fresh terrain that comes with gravel.

We’re offering this bike in a SRAM build with a wireless drivetrain combining the best of Force AXS and X01 Eagle AXS, SRAM G2 hydraulic disc brakes, Industry Nine wheels, WTB 27.5” knobbies, an Enve M6 carbon handlebar with Ergon grips and a PNW dropper seatpost. It comes in a gorgeous Sahara Yellow paint with a Dove Grey decal package.

Fast enough for gravel, fine-tuned for singletrack

The best gravel rides bring more than gravel alone. This limited edition ABLE is ideal for adventures on the trail. An Enve flat handlebar, a PNW dropper post, and 27.5” WTB knobbies make this build feel as home on singletrack and it does on the gravel.

BEGS TO BE RIPPED AROUND ON SINGLETRACK, FIRE ROADS, HARDPACK DIRT, AND CHUNKY GRAVEL.

EXPLORE THE ABLE

The ABLE is a performance off-road machine that tilts more towards the “mountain skinny” side of the gravel segment. It prefers a big tire but keeps a short rear end - in fact, it’s the same as the ALLROAD at 420mm. This is achieved by the most striking feature on the bike - the elevated drive-side chainstay. The ABLE begs to be ripped around on singletrack, fire roads, hardpack dirt, and chunky gravel.

Elevated chainstay

Building a chainstay this short with high tire volume is a packaging exercise because the chainring, chainstay, and tire all compete for space behind the bottom bracket. By moving the ABLE chainstay up and out of the way we could make it super-wide resulting in an incredibly responsive ride.

1x Crankset

A 1x drivetrain is quickly becoming the industry standard for gravel: You’ll always find the right gear at the right time. The ABLE is 1x-specific, which allows us to elevate the chainstay for tire clearance without resorting to a super-wide mountain bike-like Q-factor.

Tire clearance

The ABLE is designed around a 700x42c: This is the tire size we recommend for optimum BB height and steering (remember: tire size affects steering geometry.) But if you ride in really chunky rocky terrain the ABLE can adapt with 650c wheels and tires as big as 47mm in the rear and 55mm in the front.

Adventure-ready

Four sets of bottle mounts -- one on each side of the downtube, one set on the seat tube, and a top tube mount ideally suited for a bolt-on bag.
